Delay to New District Council Phone Numbers

sodc-logo-largeThe launch of new phone numbers used by South Oxfordshire District Council has been delayed.

The council’s numbers were due to change at the start of May but difficulties with external providers have meant there’s been a slight delay, and the numbers will now be changing at a later date.

Until further notice the councils are asking residents to carry on using the 01491 823000 customer service lines, along with any other numbers they currently use.

Steve Bishop, Strategic Director at South Oxfordshire District Council, said: “We are really sorry for any confusion caused by this.  The new numbers were supposed to be in place by now so we’d already begun letting residents know so they’d be ready for the switch over.

“Unfortunately we’ve had a slight delay with the change-over so please keep using our current numbers for the time being.  Once the issues have been fixed we’ll let everyone know the date on which the new numbers will go live.

“Don’t forget, you can access all our services, find information and make payments on our council websites – www.southoxon.gov.uk too.”

The Council will only be changing phone numbers, the postal address and the customer services desk continues to be at 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, and all emails addresses are staying the same.
