Super Silent Auction Raises Money For Mayor’s Charities
Despite all the rain last Friday, a great Silent Auction hosted by the Mayor, Councillor Lorraine Hillier at Fawley Court, Concert Hall in aid of her three charities – South Oxfordshire Mind, Teenage Wilderness Trust and Thames Valley Animal Welfare, was enjoyed by specially invited guests.
As well as the auction the guests were entertained with music from Annie and the Dough Boys from Lawlor’s The Bakers and swing singer, Steve Conway. The auction was organised by local Henley company, Superstars and the evening raised £1,600.
Mayor, Councillor Lorraine Hillier said, “It was a fantastic venue and we received lovely prizes for the raffle from local businesses. Thank you to Mrs Aida Hersham for her generosity in hosting the silent auction event at Fawley Court. Thank you to Nicole at Superstars and everyone who came along to help me fundraise.”
