A new spacious outdoor event hire and special events campsite has opened at Meadows Farm on the Marlow Road in Henley.
Meadows Farm is set in a beautiful 50 acre park that was once part of the Fawley Court Estate. This deer park was landscaped by Sir Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown and now has a striking avenue of London Plain trees that runs right through the Meadows Farm estate. Far enough away from the main road to be secluded and quiet but only 5 minutes walk from Henley-on-Thames’ town centre. With access to the River Thames and all that the surrounding Chilterns Hills have to offer. Ideal for weddings, corporate events, glamping and special occasions. It’s also officially designated as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ since 1965.
Richard Pinches who owns the site said, “This a new exciting venture for us and this weekend we’ve hosted a beautiful tepee wedding. We’re planning a special Rewind weekend this year which will offer campers an alternative location to chill out and relax with easy access to the festival by river taxi or on foot.”
At the Rewind weekend there will be a ‘chill’ out area with fire pit to gather around in the evening, as well as scrummy all day food cooked by the The Happy Gurkha. Water taps, chemical toilet dump, clean loos, hot showers will all be provided plus a charging station for mobile devices along with 24 hour security.
Sam Thirlby-Smith who runs The Happy Gurkha said, “ We are thrilled about our collaboration with Meadows Farm and will provide the warmest of welcomes for Rewind guests. Our team of retired Gurkhas will be onsite throughout the weekend providing an array of services, from cooked breakfasts to late night curries.
On a more serious note, our Gurkhas will provide a friendly level of security away from the mad throng of party animals.
You never know, we may even get some of our retired Gurkhas in 80’s lycra!”
You can camp for Rewind for an evening or the whole weekend. Prices start at £60 day for a tent, 1 car and 2 people or £100 for the weekend.
