Last Friday children in the Rupert Bear , Nursery and Reception classes at Rupert House School took part in the Den Day initiative by Save the Children. They added a little magic to a normal day by building special shelters and giving  a £2 donation to Save the Children.  The money raised will help children in some of the world’s toughest countries, who might not have somewhere safe to sleep.

Mrs Shawcross, Head of Pre Prep at Rupert House School said, “The Rupert Bear and Nursery children used everyday materials to build their dens in the school grounds but the Reception children built shelters at the Forest School at the playing fields on the Fairmile.  There was a great deal of excitement and the children had a lot of fun.  On a more serious note though they learnt something of the world around them.”
