Newly Formed Henley WI Invites You to Join them for Cheese & Wine

theWI_LogoThe WI having celebrated it’s Centenary in 2015, is the largest Voluntary Women’s Organisation in the UK, with almost 220,000 members.

Made up of a diverse group of women, the WI offers something for everyone, from Tradditional to Modern, giving members the opportunity to provide an effective role in the Community, to expand their horizons, learn new skills, but most of all friendship.

A WI member will enjoy a varied programme, chosen by their WI. Every member can contribute. The options are only limited by your imagination.

Each WI holds 11 meetings per year, but also members can get involved in the various regional and National events.

WIs are formed, as Henley WI, when an area has been identified, usually following requests from the community.

Henley are holding a meeting on Friday 16th September at 7.30pm in the Kings  Arms Barn. There will be refreshments, a glass of wine (or alternative) and plenty of information about the WI.

With support from Ali Simmonds, Community Champion, Tesco in Henley, who will be telling how Tesco works with the community.
