St Mary’s Playground Has Been Transformed Over the Summer

The playground at St Mary’s school has been transformed over the summer, with investment from the school and through the efforts of the parents and volunteers of Friends of St Mary’s School (FOSMS).

The school have installed a new brightly marked astro turf in the playground and thanks to FOSMS the children can also enjoy a brand new purpose built climbing frame and slide.

FOSMS raised £10,000 to fund the new equipment and the team worked hard to ensure it was ready in time for the new term.

St Mary’s Headmaster, Rob Harmer, explains:  “We are incredibly grateful to FOSMS for raising the money for this new equipment which really has transformed our playground. Children from all classes, including our nursery will get much use and delight from it”.

The school would like to thank every one who contributed to the fundraising efforts over the past year.
