Henley’s Last Night of the Proms concert was a great success at the Christ Church Centre.
Stefan Gawrysiak who organised the concert said, “It started with great performance by Mae Reineke and Samuel Lloyd (pictured right). These are two of Henley’s young musicians who I believe will grow into being spectacular concert musicians of the future. Great thanks to Laura Reineke of the Henley Music school for organising this part of the concert. It was followed by a stunning virtuoso performance by Anita D’Attellis of Bach/Saint-Saëns, Beethoven, Chopin and culminating in a wonderful performance of Bach/Busoni – Chaconne from Partita. The audience listened with rapt attention to all of the performances. Anita’s performance was much appreciated, she wowed the audience with her skill, presence and exemplary performance.”
This was followed by the live screening of the BBC proms from the Royal Albert Hall which everyone enjoyed, much merriment and flag waving ensued. The concert was raising funds for Nomad and Chiltern Centre for Disabled Children.
