Residents of all ages gathered to celebrate the 90th birthday of local Henley School St Mary’s last Thursday (15 September).
Teachers, pupils and parents from past and present marked the occasion, remembering the significant events of the last 90 years. Pupils played a key role in the event, showcasing their research of the last nine decades, whilst guests shared their fond memories of the outstanding school.
Head Teacher, Robert Harmer commented:
“We were delighted that so many people joined us to mark St Mary’s 90th birthday. Our school has thrived over the years and we continue to pride ourselves on being a very special learning environment. From age two onwards, children here are introduced to specialist subject teachers who provide outstanding education and share our love of learning.”
Previous Head Teachers, Sue Bradley, Di Christie and Pam Beggin were amongst the visitors to the birthday celebrations.
