A burst of international flavour will arrive in Henley as a world village market comes to town with around 25 different traders bringing an array of tasty sweet and savoury foods and unique handmade crafts.
There will be a range of cheeses, Italian biscuits, macaroons, fudges, sausages, speciality pies, American smoked bbq dishes, craft beers, real Belgian fries and savoury crepes, to choose from.
These will be served up by traders include Brocklebys Pies, Sawley Kitchen, Casa das Bolitas, Mean Street BBQ and Crepe Expectations.
A selection of Indonesian garden furniture, handcrafted gifts made from handwoven fabrics from rural communities in Sri Lanka, ladies scarves and handmade jewellery, will also be on offer.
The World Village Market will be visiting Henley for the ninth year running. A live music stage will add to the proceedings in the Market Square.
The market will be open from Friday 3 March to Sunday 5 March 2017. It will run from 11am to 5pm on Friday; 9am to 6pm on Saturday, and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. Entry to the market is free.
Organiser Paul Kennedy, Market Square Group Event Director, said: “The Henley-on-Thames World Village Market will kick off our national 2017 event calendar so we are really looking forward to returning to one of our favourite locations to start the season in style.”
