Experts Take Gardener’s Questions
What shrub to plant in a particular location and how to overcome potato blight were just some of the questions the panel of experts were asked at the first joint Henley Allotment Association and Henley in Bloom Gardener’s question time last week at the Town Hall.
The all star panel included Colin Evans, Gardening Guru of BBC Radio Berkshire, Clare Foster, Garden Editor at House and Garden Magazine, local market gardener, Tamsin Borlase from Bosley Patch, Andrew Hawkins an allotment gardener and Martyn Sheldrake, General Manager at Toad Hall who took questions from the room filled audience.
Dave McEwen from Chairman of Henley Allotments Association said afterwards, “A very successful event with over 50 local gardeners attending. Questions were submitted on a wide range of gardening topics enabling the panel to display their expertise and experience. A very enjoyable evening for the audience – and the panellists seem to have enjoyed it too!
