All the children from Rupert House Upper School performed at their annual Easter concert on Wednesday evening this week at the Town Hall.
The evening saw superb performances from all of the Upper School Music clubs (Chamber Choir, Junior Choir, Year 6 vocal group, Drumming Club and the Showstoppers Musical Club who performed When I Grow Up from the theatre production of Matilda. There were also some excellent solo performances on piano, cello, trumpet, saxophone from the school’s budding musicians including Millie Newman on the harp!
The school currently has twelve peripatetic teachers who visit the school each week and the children are offered lessons in strings, brass, woodwind, percussion, voice and piano. Ten of the concert performers are preparing for ABRSM exams next week. The school were very grateful to the Town Council for letting them use the Town Hall for the evening.
