Brakspear Boss to be Barman to Raise Money for Sue Ryder

Brakspear Chief Executive, Tom Davies will be pouring pints at the Little Angel from 6.00–8.00 pm this Thursday, 6 April, in a bid to raise more money for Sue Ryder.

Tom, along with others from the Brakspear head office team, gamely offered himself ‘for hire’ in a charity auction held at the company’s annual awards dinner last October. Doug Green, licensee of the Little Angel, placed the winning bid for Tom’s services, paying £1,500 with a ‘top up’ from Tom for £700. Now, Tom is offering to donate a further £1 to Sue Ryder for every pint he serves during his two hour shift.

Tom said, “I’m looking forward to being a barman for a couple of hours and this is a way to raise a few more pounds for a worthy cause.”

Sue Ryder was Brakspear’s first ever estate-wide charity partner. Over 15 months, Brakspear pubs and head office employees raised more than £50,000 for the charity.
