Henley and Tilehurst Rock Choirs went on a magical mystery bus tour on Saturday to raise money for Rosie’s Rainbow Fund and Sue Ryder Nettlebed.
On Saturday morning the Tilehurst Rock Choir entertained the crowds in Market Place in Henley before heading off to Sheeplands at Hare Hatch and finishing at the The Bull in Sonning. Henley Rock Choir sang at the Reading Food Festival at Forbury Gardens, then Wyvale Garden Centre at Hare Hatch before finishing at The Little Angel in Henley.
In Market Place the Tilehurst Rock Choir did an excellent rendition of Halo by Beyonce and the classic Rescue Me by Fontella Bass.
A spokesperson for Rosie’s Rainbow Fund said, “It was a great tie in as the charity supports music therapy in hospitals and for special needs children in the community.”
Lucy Hewes, the Rock Choirs Choirmaster said, “Both choirs raised around £600. It was so exciting that each stop was a mystery for the choirs and so pleased we raised a fantastic amount for both charities.”
