We know it’s nearly Henley Regatta when Laurence Menswear’s shop window in Duke Street gets painted with a Henley Regatta themed mural by Charlotte Cavanagh. It’s become a Henley Regatta tradition over the last five years. This year’s window shows a double sculls race and one of Henley’s unique course marker boxes.
Laurence Morris who owns the shop looks forward to Henley Regatta every year and loves to help dress men with the latest on trend fashions. Whether you’re looking for a traditional look of a striped blazer and tie, the fashion trend of a smart jacket with colourful chinos, or a just a pair of smart shorts Laurence Menswear has a brilliant range of men’s fashion to suit all tastes and occasions. Laurence chooses his brands and range very carefully and stocks only the latest season’s styles. His traditional blazers are from British heritage firm; Bladen, jackets from Roy Robson, trousers from Brax and shirts from Eterna and Claudio Lugli.
Accessories and shoes are important too to complete the look. To keep the sun off (we’re hoping for another hot Regatta) Laurence sells genuine Panama hats from Pachacuti, an excellent range of shoes from Loake and a great selection of belts and cufflinks.
Laurence said, “I love the whole buzz that the Regatta brings to Henley and Charlotte does a brilliant job every year with the window. It’s gets so many people stopping to admire it. Henley Regatta is now one of the world’s top sporting events and I love having a shop in the town tailored for men to buy their Regatta fashion. Since opening the shop in 2012, I believe I now offer the best range of men’s clothes on the Henley high street.”
Pop in to see Laurence at 29 Duke Street, he’s happy to let you browse, give you advice and even organise alterations that are needed.
Laurence is now open during June on Sundays from 11.00am.
