Bailey Big Band Backs Headway

The Roy Bailey Big Band are delighted to be playing at The Christ Church Centre in Henley to celebrate 30 Years of the Headway Brain Charity.

The concert takes place on Sat 30th September at 7.30. The Bailey Band now in its 34th year is a local favourite with big band fans in the area having played many concerts over the years in and around Henley . Originally started by local musician Roy Bailey a sax player from Goring as a small dance band they played many local dance gigs long before the rock scene took off. Over the years the band grew to its full 18 piece big band playing all the big band classics from Miller, Basie, Ellington and Buddy Rich.

Today the band has 3 great local vocalist including Beccy Keen , Gail Hendricks. and Ed Hall who also compares their shows. They will be singing songs from Sinatra , Michel Buble, Ella Fitgerald, Etta James a wide ranging choice of songs.
