Henley looks set to be seriously spoilt after the launch of Amour Beaute’ on Tuesday this week. The beauty salon, located on Reading Road, has taken over the premises previously occupied by Dalton’s Estate Agents, and given them a full make-over! Decorated with a stunning display of flowers, the new business welcomed its first customers for a proper pampering on Tuesday.
Amour Beaute’ is the first venture for Duong Trinh & Co Ltd., a company founded by partners Raymond Duong and Lucy Trinh. The couple live in Windsor, having relocated from Colchester, Essex just over a year ago. Both have previous experience in the beauty industry and have been hankering to set up their own parlour. However, it wasn’t until they came to Henley in the spring that the wheels were set in motion. “I came to Henley in April and I fell in love with the place,” Raymond explained. After acquiring the Reading Road location, the pair spent months renovating before they could add the finishing touches. Upon finally seeing their dream realised, Raymond shared his delight. “At last, after 10 long years in the industry and over a year’s preparation, I am proud that Amour Beaute’ is now open. We want to focus on feeling good and promoting self confidence. We provide a lot of services to enhance the natural beauty.”
The salon is currently offering a number of nail treatments, from traditional manicures and gels to the innovative ‘Signature Nail Systems’ (SNS), which uses a dip powder to coat the nail. The finished product is a light but firm nail, and dries within minutes. Moreover, the powders are free of toxins, and fortified with vitamins A, E, D3, and B5 as well as calcium to leave the nail strong and healthy. Promoting health is a focus for Raymond and Lucy, as the Vietnamese duo strive to choose natural products that will be suitable for all sensitivities. The beauticians also provide waxing treatments, and will soon be introducing facials.
Though currently a small business, Raymond and Lucy are keen to expand and are searching for local beauticians to join their team. They also hope to bring new technology to the shop to allow semi-permanent beauty treatments in the near future. Bursting with enthusiasm and ambition, the company desires to grow yet further into other avenues. “We want to focus on beauty but even break into food,” said Raymond. “Henley is missing out on Vietnamese food. I want to introduce a wide range, maybe a cafe at first, and eventually fine dining.”
To celebrate their grand opening, Amour Beaute’ invites Henley residents to pop in and say hello and indulge in a glass of wine!
