With schools out for summer, children under 16 in Henley are being invited to take up a fantastic new offer – the chance to swim and play squash for just £1.
GLL – the UK’s largest provider of public swimming pools under the Better brand – is committed to getting more children more active this summer by offering ‘Kids For A Quid’ on swimming and squash sessions.
Health body ukactive published new research this summer on the prohibitive cost of holiday activities and the negative effect this can have on childrens fitness when they return to school in the autumn.
But the ‘Kids for a quid’ initiative means that for less than the price of a burger, bus ticket or a computer game youngsters can have some affordable fun with family and friends this summer.
Megan Horwood, Community Sports Manager said: “We all know kids can get bored in the summer holidays but they are also at risk from low levels of physical activity – but part of the solution lies on our doorsteps. “At Better Leisure Centres, we’re banishing boredom with affordable and fun options for parents and kids that can help them stay entertained, fit and healthy over the summer holidays.”
To take advantage of this offer parents or guardians can sign up for a ‘Kids For A Quid’ voucher online at www.better.org.uk/kids-for-a-quid and make summer even better.
