Love Local Henley Christmas Market

Support Local With Something Unique This Christmas

Lynne Lambourne, Sarah Kirk and Tracey Beard launched ‘Love Local’ in 2011 to bring together local enterprises, small retailers and artisans in the Henley area. There is a wealth of creativity and talent on our doorstep with many businesses going unnoticed as they have no high street presence and nowhere to display their work – their aim is to create a shopfront to promote their work and business.

‘Love Local’ markets offer a fabulous shopping experience to local people wanting to buy something unique, unusual and individual that cannot be found on the high street. With rent and rates increasing it is often the local artisans that get forgotten as large chains of shops dominate our high street.

Some amazing talented local stallholders are coming to the Love Local Christmas Market at the Town Hall on Thursday 30 November between 10-2.30pm offering up-cycled vintage style furniture, cushions, artwork, home accessories, photography, ceramics, candles, jewellery, cakes, chocolates, Christmas cards and great Christmas stocking fillers. All would make fabulous gifts or perfect Christmas presents.

Lynne said, “We have a passion for all things individual and for supporting and celebrating the abundance of creativity in the area.  We want to encourage people to shop more responsibly, support local businesses and bring the local community together.”

“As well as running a fun shopping event for everyone we want to help a local charity and as we held one of our markets at the Over 60’s Club in Henley a few years ago and saw what an amazing facility it is for the town we have chosen to support them in their bid to raise funds for a new fridge!  One of our sponsors, Angie Best’s Metaphysical Gym, will also be offering special discounted rates for any over 60’s wishing to join her gym.”
