Gainsborough Residents' Association Toy Run to John Radcliffe Hospital

Bring a Smile to a Child’s Face in Hospital This Christmas

Many children and their families have to spend Christmas in hospital.  To help bring a little bit of Christmas cheer, The Gainsborough Residents’ Association are planning their third toy run on motorbikes this Christmas to Oxford Children’s Hospital on Saturday 9 December.

They are now asking for donations of new toys, games and puzzles, toiletry sets, activity sets and baby items.  All items need to be NEW as the hospital can’t accept second-hand because of health and safety regulations.

This year there are collection points at Tesco in Henley, Henley Town Hall and at Badgemore, Sacred Heart and Valley Road Schools.

Paula Isaac who is one of the organisers said, “We are looking for donations to help show families that we are thinking of them this Christmas.”  Chair of GRA, David Eggleton added, “Make a donation and make someone smile this Christmas.”

If you are unable to get to one of the collection points and would like your donation to be collected or you’d like to join the toy run, you can contact David on 07836 202508.
