The Henley College celebrated its proud heritage of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion last week.
The annual EDI event was packed full of activities including Indian dancing, drumming, Indian food, choir singing and a variety of stands. Fundraising from the LGBT, Pathways and Amnesty International groups raised £106.30 for the charity Shelter Box from selling button badges, face painting, playing Mario Kart and chocolate pong. Students also had the opportunity to enter an Instagram picture competition to win a prize.
Kathryn Caulfield, Head of Student Services said “It is so lovely to see our students having fun, embracing the diversity of our student body. The support shown to the performers and the money raised for our charity was great to see. The College is proud that our students feel respected and able to achieve their full potential, free from prejudice and discrimination Thanks to everyone involved – a fabulous success.”
