Shiplake Primary School Ranked in the Top 300 Schools in England
Shiplake Primary School has been ranked 291 in The Telegraph’s top 1,000 best performing primary schools in England, in reading, writing and maths 2016-17, with only 3 other Oxfordshire schools being ranked higher.
Primary school performance tables for Key Stage 2 results were published last Thursday (14 December) by the Department for Education. The league tables rank more than 12,000 state primary schools in England according to the number of students who are achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics, and the percentage who have performed above it.
92% of pupils at Shiplake Primary are meeting the expected standard if they achieve a scaled score of 100 or more in their reading and maths tests, and their teacher assesses them as ‘working at the expected standard’ or better in writing.
Headteacher Katherine Page-Howie said, “This is a tremendous achievement and one we are extremely proud of.”
