Henley Women’s Regatta has massively grown over the last 30 years and last year attracted 418 crews and 1800 competitors from the UK and around the world. It is now the UK’s premier regatta for women. This year’s event takes place between 22-24 June 2018.
Because of the growth, the regatta now needs more people to help, plan and organise this important regatta and the organisers would like to invite everyone who is interested in helping to a volunteers afternoon on Sunday 14 January. Drop in between 1-3pm at Henley Rowing Club to find out more about the different roles.
Chair of HWR, Miriam Luke said, “We need people with a variety of skills including marketing, facilities management, finance, event management (to name just a few) together with good transferable interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team. I should stress that whilst help is always welcome around our 3 days at regatta time, we are mainly looking for people to work on the wider organising committee and sub groups involved in planning the organisation of the event in the months leading up to the regatta.
