Town Medal Winner to Represent Lions Club at 100th Anniversary

Ian Forster who won the Henley Town medal last year will be representing the Lions Club of Henley-on-Thames at the 100th anniversary of the Lions Clubs International at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday 28 February hosted by their Patron, HRH, The Countess of Wessex G.C.V.O.

Ian will be joining with members from across the British Isles at the Centenary Reception together with the organisations’ charity partners to celebrate 100 years of Lions Clubs proud service to communities.

Henley Lions Club helps their local community through fund-raising and organising events such as Santa’s Grotto at Toad Hall Garden Centre, Santa’s Sleigh, the Winter Fuel Project and the annual Swimarathon.

Lions Clubs International support major projects that address diabetes, youth, the environment, hunger relief, childhood cancer and sight issues affecting communities throughout the world.
