Record Number of Golfers Tee Off in Steve Edwards Golf Day

On Friday (13 April) Henley Rugby Club held the second Steve Edwards Golf Day at Badgemore Park.

The event is in memory of Steve who organised the event since its inception who sadly died in December 2016 from stomach cancer.

A record 104 golfers teed off in the morning for the Team Four ball competition, followed by Foursomes in the afternoon.

125 people then enjoyed the Prize Giving dinner with its various fundraising activities, including an auction which featured an annual membership of Badgemore’s new gym, generously donated by Jon Connell.

The winning team (pictured above) were Simon Lambert, Andy Hearn, Tommy Carr and Guy Outram receiving The Steve Edwards Trophy from Catrin, Debbie and Jess Edwards.
