College Students Raises £600 at Mill Meadows Fete

Visitors to Mill Meadows last Thursday afternoon enjoyed a great music event organised by Henley College students in aid of Sue Ryder.

Connor Wright, Jack Eagle, Hasan Choudhry, Alex Sudlow, Oshadha Haththotuwa and Mohamed Hussain who are studying Business Studies organised the event as part of their course.

Performers on the bandstand included Midnight Filter, Teddy, Ray Wills and Laurence Martin. The French Coffee Van provided food and Stoke Row School loaned their PA system for the music.  Money was raised through a raffle and selling cakes.

Connor said afterwards, “The event went really well and delighted that we raised over £600 for Sue Ryder.  I would like to also thank the Mayor for coming down and to the businesses who donated raffle prizes – Rajus Tandoori, Cook and the Regal Picturehouse Cinema.”
