Men Rescued from River in Early Hours by Fire Crew

In the early hours of yesterday morning (12 July) 01:49 two men were rescued from the river at Marsh Lock by Henley firefighters using the lock keeper’s platform.

The men had fallen into the river from their boat and had also left two ladies in the boat stranded.

All four people were rescued and the men were then taken to hospital by the ambulance service.

Afterwards Henley firefighters tweeted. “Following our water rescue incident this morning, we would like to remind people to take extra care when having a drink on your boat and trying to go through locks, if it wasn’t for the quick thinking of one gentleman last night’s incident could of ended a lot different. BE SAFE”
