Jessica Dingle, aged 5 years old from Henley decided to kick off her school summer holiday break with a huge act of kindness by donating some of her hair after meeting a little girl with no hair due to Alopecia during a recent hospital trip.
Jessica has just completed her first year at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School and her first school report mentioned that she is such a kind girl that often did kind gestures for others.
Her Mum Victoria said, “The girls played together whilst I chatted with the girl’s mother. Later that day, whilst talking about having our hair cut because it is so hot Jessica asked me if she could send some of her hair to the little girl that didn’t have any hair.”
After researching charities that make wigs, Victoria sent three bundles of Jessica’s hair to the Little Princess Trust, who provide real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults under the age of 24, who have sadly lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. Victoria would like to thank her friend, Jeanne Jarrett from Wargrave for offering her hairdressing skills for this amazing cause.
