Four days a week Monday, Tuesday /Thursday, Friday 8.30-5.00pm.
Salary: £18,870 (FTE) plus holidays & benefits.
Good communication and written skills are essential in this role; as is working on your own initiative. Basic tasks will also include dealing with enquiries and visitors; email requests, incoming and outgoing post on a daily basis, diary management, issuing resident parking permits and the presentation of information in the office.
As part of the Town & Community team you will help to promote events and activities in the town using social media, web content and communication.
Event management, tourism and social media skills are essential. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service. Imperative will be collecting and collating data for reports. Contributing positively to the efficient administration of the Council.
You will work with the events team to help plan annual events with lead times and timetable for each event. Assisting with Christmas Festival – events and activities; creating event collateral including posters, leaflets and flyers.
Ensure high standards of work and performance are maintained with attention to detail, upholding the integrity and profile appropriate to working for the Henley-on-Thames Town Council.
The role requires some work flexibly which may include working outside normal business hours and regular weekends.
Training in event management; health & safety and general office administration, will be available for the right person.
