Creative Courses Going From Strength to Strength at Henley College

Creative courses at The Henley College are going from strength-to-strength with students gaining not only excellent results, but progressing to exciting destinations at university and in careers following their courses.

Creative Media is a relatively new subject area at Henley, but one that is a rising star amongst the more traditional areas of study. This year 72% of students gained higher grades and the subject secured a 100% pass rate. From September 2018, the College will be offering two strands at Extended Diploma level – Broadcast Journalism and Radio & Television Production. Completion of these courses can lead to a very broad range of destinations including film and media production, public relations, marketing, advertising, events management, communications, journalism, human resources and many more. Read more about Creative Media >

Aimee Squire (pictured above) a Creative Media Production student said, “When I first started The Henley College I was extremely shy. Studying Creative Media Production allowed me to grow both academically and as a person. I am so much happier and a lot more confident; it changed everything for me. Within a month of leaving college, I completed a week’s work experience at Pinewood Studios and I am looking into other opportunities within the media industry before I start University next year.”

The study of Textiles at Henley has attracted many talented students recently with 93.3% gaining an A*-C grade at A Level in 2018. For the last three years, our Textiles students have been accepted onto courses at Central Saint Martins – the most prestigious art college in the world, which draws students from around the globe. They have also progressed to universities such as Kingston, Bath, Manchester, Brighton, Oxford Brookes and Bucks New Uni. Henley offers inspirational teaching along with a dedicated studio that nurtures and supports students to achieve their very best.
