Art & Crafts Guild Christmas Exhibition Has Photographs for First Time

These very beautiful pictures of plane trees and anenomes above by Janet Phillips are not paintings they are actually photographs and are entries for the Henley Arts and Crafts Guild Christmas Craft (HACG) Exhibition to be held in the Old Fire Station Gallery from 7 December for 4 days.

Chair of HACG, Anne Spicer said, “This year is the first time that the Guild has admitted photographs to be hung in their annual exhibitions and if Janet’s lovely work is anything to go by, then surely they will just fly off the shelves as gifts this Christmas.”

There will also be hundreds of other delightful handmade craft works for sale on display – for instance the amazing pieces in coloured glass from Sarah Harris (pictured below) and plenty of woodwork, ceramics and sculpture and textiles and lots and lots of Christmas cards and decorations – all made by the capable hands of Arts Guild members.

So don’t finish your Christmas shopping until after you have been to see the Guild Exhibition. Starts at 10am and closes at 4pm Friday 7 to Tuesday 11 December.
