On Saturday (12 January) the newly formed AFC Henley Hawks team went into action, at home, versus Old Windsor Tigers Reds.
The match started off well, with an early penalty for a handball, however the Old Windsor keeper saved it. Thankfully Freddie Attwood from the Hawks managed to score the just before the end of the first quarter. From then on the match was fairly equal, with both sides putting in a great performance. The final decision wasn’t made very late in the last quarter of the match, when Max Sheriff from Hawks scored two goals, followed by two more goals from Freddie Attwood. The team put on a good performance overall, but player of the match was Max Sheriff for his endless drive on midfield.
