Rail users faced a miserable start to the weekend this morning (Friday), when Henley Branch Line service was suspended for 90 minutes.
The first two services ran as normal, although passengers on the 0636 train from Henley found their first service to London at 0653 cancelled.
A fault on the branch train then caused the 0706 service from Henley to Twyford to be cancelled. A replacement train was found and was rumoured to be heading to Henley for the 0736 service to Twyford, but it returned to Twyford empty.
Normal service was resumed on time with the 0807 service, but the bulk of commuters were left stranded, with no service for 90 minutes.
The cause is being investigated.
