Henley Lions Win Berks and Bucks Cup

Henley Lions U13s were crowned champions of the Berks and Bucks Cup this weekend.

The Lions played out the final at Abingdon Town’s ground in front of a strong crowd of 115 watching on as they took on MK Wanderers from the Milton Keynes league.

It was a very strong start from Henley Lions with Jack Timberlake netting after only 4 minutes to put Henley 1-0 up.

From then on the entire game was end to end with both teams creating chances. The windy conditions made it difficult for Lions to get the ball and play but in the end a superb display from the boys and girls saw the game out to end 1-0.

A brilliant cup run resulting in a well deserved victory on the day.

Over to the U9s, U10s and U11s who all represent the Lions in League Cup finals on May 12th in Tadley.
