AFC Henley are holding their AGM next Tuesday (25 June) at 7.30pm at Christ Church Centre.
It will be an opportunity to meet the current and future management team, to find out more about how the club operates and to discuss the way forward.
AFC Henley could not function successfully without our 80+ volunteer parents and non-parents. The club has well over 400 children and young adults enjoying football at the club, whether in their 21 teams in the East Berks Football Alliance league, in Saturday Mini-Soccer Centre, where we they are experiencing record numbers, or in our range of after-school clubs and midweek coaching modules.
Chair Trevor Howell said, “As always, we would be grateful for an influx of new volunteers, especially for non-coaching roles. As seems to be the norm with community organisations, just a small number of individuals carry a disproportionate share of the club’s day-to-day management and financial challenges. More help would be greatly appreciated. Grandparents or retired family members with time on their hands might well be attracted to something worthwhile to focus on. We would welcome in particular anyone interested in Marketing/PR/Sponsorship and Administration/Programme Management.”
