Mikron Theatre are back for their annual Henley performance at the Eyot Centre on Thursday 18 July with the show ‘Redcoats’.
‘Redcoats’ with its trademark mix of fun, pathos and songs, takes you through 80 years of Butlins splendour. You can expect bonny babies, knobbly knees, holiday huts – BUT who could imagine there would be guest appearances from Marlene Dietrich, Gracie Fields & Laurel & Hardy?!
Billy Butlin used Shakespeare himself to sell a seaside dream to the great British public: “Our true intent is all for your delight” and we are sure that once again ‘mighty little Mikron’ (The Guardian) will delight us.
Weather permitting the show will be performed on the lawns and starts at 7.30pm but everyone is invited to picnic from 6.00pm. The show will move inside if it is wet.
David McEwen said, “At last year’s performance we had an amazing crowd and hope to see another large audience to break our record. Do come and bring family & friends for another fun evening with this talented original company.”
No tickets required, only a donation will be taken after the show.
