Plans for Unique Dining Limited’s second restaurant, Crockers Henley have been announced as part of Catalyst Capital’s retail led mixed-use development, Gardiner Place in the old Loch Fyne restaurant on Market Place.
Unique Dining opened their first restaurant in Potten End Hertfordshire back in 2016 before relocating to the town of Tring last year.
The restaurant is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere as well as for injecting fun and humour into fine dining, offering the experience ‘without any of the pomp’. Crockers Tring offers a unique dining experience, allowing up to 15 guests to eat at two chef’s tables with a dedicated view of the kitchen allowing them to interact with the team as they prepare the food. There will also be a 60-cover social dining space which will focus on small plates and sharing dishes plus a cocktail bar and 7 en suite bedrooms will complete the new venture.
Unique Dining are the first operator to have signed on to Gardiner Place, a multi–million-pound retail led mixed-use development which will create a new public square in addition to delivering extensive retail and leisure opportunities and a number of stylish, modern two and three bedroom apartments.
Ilan Goldman, Catalyst Capital, comments: “We are delighted to officially welcome Unique Dining to Henley. We believe ‘Crockers Henley’ with its signature chef’s tables and boutique luxury hotel will be a fantastic addition to Gardiner Place and the town’s leisure offer, attracting clientele from all over the Thames Valley region. We are excited to play a part in this ongoing success story. This news marks another major step forward for Gardiner Place and the delivery of the much-needed transformation of the former Market Place Mews into a truly unique destination.”
Luke Garnsworthy, Unique Dining Limited, adds: “We’re incredibly excited about our new home! Crockers Henley will build on the successful ‘Chef’s Table’ concept we created and refined at our first restaurant in Tring, as well as introducing a number of new experiences that will deliver a unique and relaxed blend of hospitality to one of the UK’s most sought after riverside locations.”
Operations Director, Ian Churchill went on to say: ”Unique Dining is a people company and our team members are at the heart of what we do. We plan to create around 50 jobs at the Henley site, and we’ll be looking for the very best talent the hospitality industry has to offer. While we may be small, we offer some amazing benefits, highly competitive salaries and a genuine opportunity to develop your career as the company grows.”
Gardiner Place is expected to complete in 2020 and is ideally located to create a link between Waitrose and the town’s central car park, and Market Place where many of the town’s existing retail and dining options are located.
