The Kenton Theatre has announced that this year’s pantomime this year will be Sleeping Beauty and will be presented by Bear in the Air Productions. The show will run from 13 December to 28 December.
The show is directed by Heather Simpkin who came up with the idea that the Kenton should have a pantomime in 2012 when she was a Trustee at the Kenton.
Bear in the Air, having taken over the production from Immersion Theatre who have done it for the last few years. They are looking for talent for the show and will be holding open auditions at the Kenton on Wednesday 21 August. Applications are welcome for male and female performers aged 18+ for all principal roles.
Adam Braham who is organising the auditions said, “Actors must be all round performers, with good singing voices and an ability to play a musical instrument a plus (but not essential).”
This is a paid contract and successful candidates must be available for the entire contract; Monday 25th November – Saturday 28th December 2019.
