New Rock School Launches to Form Young Bands

Henley Music School have just launched HMS Rocks, a new initiative to bring children who play musical instruments together from all different schools to form bands.

They will arrange for rehearsals after school once a week using instruments and equipment the school owns. The bands will be formed with similar music levels and will be coached by the HMS Band coaches, who are professional musicians, highly qualified, fully insured and DBS checked.

HMS Principal, Laura Reineke said, “We are looking for guitar, piano/keyboard, singers, bass guitar/double bass and drummers. The bands will have the opportunity perform at events throughout the year including Henley Youth Festival and the HMS Gala in July.”

If you have, or know a child who would like to take part, please email Laura at with your child’s name, instrument, age and school.
