freeCodeCamp Meetup #2 – Henley On Thames

After our first freeCodeCamp event in Henley back on the 5 of September, we are organizing our second event on the 15 October, and we are really looking forward to meeting you all newcomers and people that already attended the last time. From this point onwards we will have bi-weekly meetings as we have reached an agreement with Henley Conferences.

This time we have no fixed agenda and we are going to try a new thing. The initial idea will be to split into 3 groups, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, for each of the attendants to decide on what they want to dedicate their time, work with other people in the group (pair programming) practice using the freeCodeCamp curriculum, and have some interesting discussion around any sort of technology.

If any of you want to present a topic to the rest of the group for 15-30 minutes, please reach out to me at so we can organise it. It can be any topic, from what code editor you use and how you customize it, to something cool you have created with a JS framework, anything!

Please make sure you bring your own laptop (+charger). All ages and experience levels are welcome.

We appreciate all the support from Henley Conferences located within the Henley Business School Greenlands, they are hosting these events free of charge for us to support the local community in Henley. There is free parking on-site. When you arrive please head to the main reception where you will be given a pass to access. You must have confirmed attendance through this platform (Eventbrite) to the event in order to have access.

Just as a reminder, freeCodeCamp is a community that helps you learn to code, then get experience by contributing to open source projects used by nonprofits. You’ll learn to code by completing coding challenges and building projects. You’ll also earn verified certifications along the way. To know more about freeCodeCamp visit
