Medals Galore for Springbox & Raising The Bar for 30th Year in 2020

Springbox Gymnastics have had a busy couple of weekends, taking part at the Virtue Invitational and the South Region Floor 3-piece competition in Farnborough.

Children as young as 4 performed on the floor, vault and trampette.  All the gymnasts did extremely well either performing to music or with a set routine for the younger ones. On the vault they landed flat back and handsprings and on the trampette straddle jumps, dive rolls and tucked or piked somersaults. All gymnasts only had one training session in between the competitions to make changes to the routines as both competitions had separate and different rules.

Overall the club took away medals galore and a few overall category winners which included Emily Wilson, Phoebe Waite, Emily Bonar, Olivia Belcher, Thomas Scott, Zac Marrat and Finley Wilson.

Head Coach Caroline and Head of squad Carly said, “We have been so impressed and proud with the gymnasts from the whole club this year. Development has been fantastic and its really goes to show how investing in the club and staff qualifications can help us expand and move forward with the hard work of the gymnasts too.”

Next year (2020), Springbox Gymnastics Club will be celebrating their 30th year in Henley. Over this period, the club has grown from 30–300 plus gymnasts training each week. To mark their 30th year they are looking to raise £15,000 for new equipment which will help raise the bar on the club even more and will go towards matting, coaching blocks and other items for all classes along with more staff qualifications.

The club provides exciting, friendly and nurturing lessons at British Gymnastics standards through preschool, recreational and squad classes. Springbox have some spaces available in all classes with new lessons opening for boys and girls 2-16 years.
