The Snowman made his first appearance at the River & Museum last weekend to the delight of the children who were visiting to watch The Snowman™ and The Snowdog Christmas films in the sparkly Thames Room.
There are more film screenings this weekend (14 & 15 December) and the chance to meet The Snowman himself afterwards. There are four screenings per day at 10.00, 11.30, 1.00pm, 2.30 and 4.00pm. Tickets can be booked at here The film is shown on a big screen with cushions for the children to sit on and chairs for the adults behind.
Families can also visit The Snowman™ exhibition which is on until 19 January 2020. In the exhibition there are over 40 original original illustrations and sketches from the animation. You can also take a selfie with The Snowman, dress up as your own character from the animation and join The Snowman’s party in this interactive exhibition. Put on your own puppet show or enjoy the opportunity to curl up with a book in the story corner and dive into the magical world of The Snowman.
The Bingham family from Tilehurst who met The Snowman on Sunday, Isabelle and Olivia’s Mum said, “The Snowman is really lovely and very magical. The kids absolutely love it and we’ve watched the film a lot.”
