Record Year for Santa’s Grotto That Gives to Good Claus-es
Another festive record was broken, with 1187 children visiting the Henley Lions Santa grotto at Toad Hall this year. This was 75, more than last year’s record number.
This year the grotto moved to a new and bigger location within the garden centre and opened for four weekends in December.
John Moore from Henley Lions said, “Toad Hall had purchased some new animals and other items to improve the area and it certainly was appreciated by our public. Santa and the Elves were extremely busy. The queuing families were very patient; I walked through the line and talked personally to many of them and they were certainly impressed with the surroundings. There were once again visitors from a very wide area including some from afar afield as USA and Australia.”
“On behalf of Henley Lions I would like to thank Martyn and Lynn and all the great staff at Toad Hall for providing such a wonderful facility and for enabling us to make significant donations to the charities First Days and the Footsteps Foundation.”
Nikita posted on Facebook, “Took my two little ones to the grotto and can’t recommend this local experience enough. The elves, decorations and Santa were brilliant today.”
