The police have confirmed that a body has been found in the river today by rowers near Fawley Court.
A search and rescue helicopter was heard by a number of residents early on Saturday morning around (2am) and yesterday search and rescue boats were seen under Henley Bridge and the river was closed off to boats.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said, “We were called to Henley Bridge at 1.44am yesterday after a report that a man had entered the water. Sadly, a body was recovered this morning and we are investigating an unexplained but non suspicious death.
A file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.”
The is the third person to have sadly died on the Henley reach of the river in the last six months.
Our thoughts are with the family.
