Situation Vacant – Information Centre Officer

Hours: Minimum 7 hours per week (Friday) Plus potential to add hours

Salary: £19,171 – £21,589 per annum pro rata (£9.96 to £11.22 per hour actual)

Good communication and written skills are essential in this role; as is working on your own initiative. Basic tasks will include dealing with enquiries and visitors; email requests, incoming and outgoing post on a daily basis, diary management, issuing resident parking permits and the presentation of information in the office.

As part of the Town & Community/Communications team you will help to promote events and activities in the town using social media, web content and communication.

Council service knowledge, tourism and social media skills are desirable.

but not essential.  We are looking for someone with excellent customer service. Imperative will be collecting and collating data for reports. Contributing positively to the efficient administration of the Council.

Ensure high standards of work and performance are maintained with attention to detail, upholding the integrity appropriate to working for the Henley-on-Thames Town Council. The role requires someone to work flexibly which may include working weekdays, weekends and always on a Friday.
