Henley Festival are moving their offices from the River & Rowing Museum after five years to Leander Club to be nearer the Festival site from next month.
The Festival this year was replaced by socially distanced car park party nights which featured comedy and karaoke plus a Sunday night digital edition featuring Rory Bremner, David Gower, Will Young and Beverley Knight. They also partnered with Tom’s Kerridge’s Pub in the Park Garden Party in September with a donation to Henley Festival for every ticket sold. Brand Events who organised the event recently presented the Festival with a cheque for £8750.
Henley Festival CEO Nick Mattingley said, “We’re moving closer to the event site which is important. Economics and practicalities have been a decisive factor. We will miss our wonderful offices with river views at the River and Rowing Museum where we’ve been very well looked after. But we look forward to forging closer links with the Leander Club and enjoying their hospitality. We’re extremely grateful to Chris and the team at Brand Events for supporting the Festival at this very difficult time. Garden Party was a wonderful event, bringing live music back in a safe environment and we were proud to be part of this.”
The Henley Festival is scheduled to return to a five nights in 2021 with the same headline acts that were booked for 2020 which include James Blunt and Madness between 7-11 July 2021.
