Green Flag No 7 for Meadows

Henley Town Council have been awarded a Green Flag for Mill and Marsh Meadows for the seventh year running.

The Parks Services team were joined by Councillors Kellie Hinton, Donna Crook and Estates Manager Becky Walker to celebrate the achievement by forming a big 7 on Mill Meadows on Tuesday.

The Green Flag scheme, run by Keep Britain Tidy, celebrates the best parks and green spaces within the UK, marking the winners on everything from appearance, safety, cleanliness and maintenance. Assessments are made on both the field onsite work and the management plans and procedures in place and feedback is given on improvements that can be made.

Deputy Chair of the Recreations & Amenities Committee, Councillor Donna Crook said, “It’s fantastic that we’ve achieved this award again this year particularly because of the extra measures we’ve had to put in place because of Covid.  It’s thanks to our amazing Park Services team and all that they do.”
