Dogs in Henley can now enjoy a much more spatial and luxury pampering session at Naughty Mutt Nice at their new shop on Reading Road (formerly In the Groove record shop) which opened on Saturday.
Owner Karole Robertson said, “We’re very happy to run the dog grooming and pet shop in Henley on Station Road for the past 12 years. We found that we had an increase in pets, and people were coming from other areas. We wanted to make it a little more comfortable for everyone, particularly the pets and for the customers and the team too. We now have dog pens for them to relax after their grooms and we have the space for a wider range of products including raw food and doggie ice creams! We allowed ourselves enough time for the move and we employed a really good company to do the shop fit and we also worked very closely with Hannah Dean Interiors as our brand is really important to us and she brought everything together to feel very welcoming. We’re very pleased with it. The team have been supporting me throughout and they are an amazing team who love working with dogs.”
James McEwen, Senior Groomer added, “We’ve always tried to provide the highest quality of services and the problem was just the lack of space. Karole has just completely transformed the business. We’ve gone from a very small business when I started with one table and one bath to now here where we have four grooming tables, 2 baths and 2 drying tables so we’re able to get through many more dogs whilst continuing to provide a really high quality service.”
Councillor Sarah Miller was invited to officially help open the shop. She has Schnauzer dog called Monty. Sarah said, “I am quite sad that they have moved, as they were 50 yards from my home but I’m delighted that they have expanded. It’s good for Henley and I for one will continue to be a loyal customer. Well done to Karole and the team and all the very best in your new home.”
