Creatives Back Together for Summer Social

Many network groups are now restarting to get together face to face. The Creative Duck, an agency who work with the creative community in Henley and the surrounding area is one of them who held a summer social at Leander Club this week.

Over the pandemic the networking group held Zoom coffee and chat sessions to keep in touch, exchange ideas and support each other over the difficult year.

Sarah Gilbert from The Creative Duck said, “It was lovely to have around 40 guests joining us at Leander Club on the upper deck for a long overdue get together. It was a wonderful collection of creatives, freelancers and business owners, some that have been with us from the start, over four years ago now, and plenty of new faces from Pangbourne, Goring, Kidmore End, Caversham, Marlow and of course Henley. We were also joined by some of our clients, Amy Goodall-Smith of Goodall-Smith Wealth Management, Sue Jones of Calvert Jones and Edward of Eress Property Ltd. We are proud to be supporting a varied range of interesting clients, mainly local to Henley and the surrounding areas. It gives us great pleasure to know we’re contributing to helping our local area thrive. There is an exceptional talent pool of creatives in and around Henley and it’s both useful and rewarding to be able to dip into it and work with our extended creative community on client projects whenever the need arises. We have kept our community connected during the last year with online talks and discussions, and we hope to return to our monthly in person coffee meets from September. Eva from Henley Scan said, “It was a wonderful evening on Leander’s beautiful deck by the river. It was nice to meet The Creative Duck team, as well as business owners I call friends and some new faces too.”
