Henley Library Exhibition: From Medieval to Modern Town

Don’t miss the Henley-on-Thames Archaeological Group’s display now on show in Henley Library for several weeks. Its theme is the modernisation of the town during the latter part of the 19th century and, in particular, the contribution by builder, social reformer and six-times mayor, Charles Clements. In this month’s issue of the Group’s journal our archivist, Dr Michael Redley, provides a fascinating tour of Clements’ works around the town. This is proving popular with our members and is available to all for £3.50 in the Bell and Way’s bookshops.
