Red Carpet Rolled Out for James Bond Day at Care Home

Residents and staff at Henley Manor Care Home got all dressed up on Friday for a special James Bond themed day.

The red carpet was rolled out in the home’s reception area and four Aston Martin cars kindly provided by GT Heritage garage in Stoke Row were parked out the front of the home for the residents to sit in and admire.  The day was planned on Friday as it was International Men’s Day.

The residents enjoyed celebrating with Martinis (shaken not stirred) and cocktails made by the home’s Hospitality Manager, plus canapés and in the lounge James Bond films were being shown.

Ashley from GT Heritage said, “When Henley Manor care home reached out asking if we could supply a car for their Bond theme day we could never say no! We were more than happy to assist proving them with more than what they wanted and allowing them to let their residents sit in them and have their photos taken. It was our pleasure to assist with this Bond Theme day hoping that the residents very much enjoyed themselves.”

Louise Light, Lifestyle’s Lead said, “The event was cancelled twice due to Covid.  I’d like to thank GT Heritage for bringing the cars today. The residents have really loved it.  It’s been a lovely social event with an excuse to get dressed up.   It’s something a little a bit different and luckily due to one of our resident’s relatives who is a mad Bond fan, we have got lots of signed photos and memorabilia.”
